Happy Labor Day

Posted

Labor Day, celebrated on the first Monday of September, is a time to honor the American workforce and recognize the contributions workers have made to our nation. The holiday grew out of the labor movement of the late 1800s and became a federal holiday in 1894.

Today, Labor Day gives us an opportunity to thank the hardworking men and women who keep our communities, businesses and country moving forward. It is also a time for families and friends to get together, enjoy a long weekend and reflect on the value of hard work.

The Forest-Blade will be closed Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day. We will resume normal business hours on Tuesday, September 8. We hope everyone has a wonderful and safe Labor Day weekend!
