Gregory Wayne Cross, age 62, was called home on Saturday, January 21, 2023, after a short illness. A Celebration of Life was held Friday, January 27, at 1 p.m. at The Greater St. James Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Melvin Adams officiating. Interment followed in Swainsboro City Cemetery.
Mr. Cross was born August 10, 1960, to the late Sadie and George Willie Cross. Wayne was born and raised in Emanuel County and attended Emanuel County schools. Mr. Cross is preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Cross leaves to cherish his memories with his two sisters, Sadie (Wayne) Brown of Swainsboro and Inez Cross of Jacksonville, FL; four brothers, Roger Richards, Donnie Cross, Andre McCloud, all of Swainsboro, and Levon Cross of Jacksonville, FL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Mosley’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
