Grand jury returns nine true bills

The October 2022 Term of the Emanuel County Grand Jury reconvened on Tuesday, January 3, 2023. Dianne Lawson served as foreperson, Pamela Carr as assistant foreperson, and Corine Hampton as clerk. John Allen Bailey served as bailiff.

The grand jury considered 9 bills of indictment, submitted to it by the office of the District Attorney, returning 9 true bills and 0 no bills.

The investigative grand jury committee(s) presented their findings from the inspection performed at the Emanuel County Jail to the grand jury. Findings will be submitted to the Clerk by the committee.
