Grand jury returns 11 true bill indictments

The April 2022 term of the Emanuel County Grand Jury reconvened Friday, June 24. With the Honorable Judge Robert S. Reeves presiding, he swore in Marisue Avery to serve as bailiff. The District Attorney’s Office presented 11 bills of indictment, and the grand jury returned true bills for all cases as follows:

David Robbie Johnson – one count terroristic threats and one count possession of methamphetamine.

Ashley Nichole Archer – one count burglary in the first degree.

Aubrey Vernon Lee Monk – one count interference with government property.

Steve Wayne Alger – two counts child molestation.

Rilene Candice Thomas – two counts obstruction of an officer, one count interference with government property and one count terroristic threats with intent to retaliate.

Crystal Gardner Jordan – one count aggravated assault and three counts cruelty to children in the third degree.

Jarquavious Davonta Brayboy – one count aggravated assault.

Calvin Mitch Jackson – one count possession of cocaine, one count driving under the influence of drugs, one count possession of drug related objects, one count taillight violation and two counts possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

Larry Gene Lockett a/k/a Larry Gene Davis – one count possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

John Thomas Gillis, Jr. – one count theft by conversion.

Minnie Bell Williams – one count possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
