When we hear one of the most quoted verses of all time, the focus is God's love. His love is so amazing. Si John 3:16 tells us, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believes in him should not perish but shall have everlasting life." That, my dear friend, is astounding.
See, when God loves, it is without condition. When God loves, it has no strings attached, because love is unconditional. Love is pure. Love is genuine. Love is flawless. Love is perfect. I am so excited and overwhelmed that God loves me beyond myself. I am so grateful that God loves me with my flaws and imperfections.
As a matter of fact, the word tells us in Romans 5:8, "But God commands his love toward us, in that, while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Now that is a wow factor. He didn't wait for us to become godly (because we couldn't), he gave his life for us so we could become godly.
That is why we celebrate his birthday. That is why we celebrate his resurrection. He was born to die for us. He came to light up this dark world.
If your world is dark right now, accept the love of God. His love will light up your world and you will have Christmas all day every day. Just remember, God loves you so you can love others. So, if you love God, because he loves you without condition, pass it on. Love people who don't look like you. Love those who don't act like you, dress like you nor live like you. Remember, God so loved.
