Georgia’s primary runoff election is today! At a local level, one runoff election is at stake in deciding which republican candidate, James Ray Canady (I) or Timothy Oliver, will remain on the ballot this fall for the County Commissioner District 5 seat. Primary election results took place Tuesday, May 24, with Canady receiving 242 votes and Oliver, 268.

Polls are open today until 7 p.m. Be sure to get out and cast your vote! Every vote counts! The general election will be held Tuesday, November 8.
