Garnell Shedrick, 61, passed away Monday, July 5, 2021. Graveside service was held Sunday, July, 11, at 11 a.m. in Swainsboro City Cemetery with Rev. Samuel Cooper as Eulogist.
Mr. Shedrick was born June 29, 1960, to the late Isador and Lodis Mae McNear Shedrick. He was a retired Veteran, serving 23 years in the Army National Guard as an E-4. Mr. Shedrick also worked at Wayne Battle Lumber Co. for 18 years and the Emanuel Rec. Dept. for 5 years.
Mr. Shedrick is survived by is loving wife of 32 years, Cynthia Shedrick; daughters, Shanika (Lynn) Benjamin, Sanetra Smith, and Vanessa Smith, all of Swainsboro; sons, Garnell (Tharesa) Smith of Swainsboro and Brian Coney of Wisconsin; sisters, Geraldine Foreman of Twin City, Eloise Doyle of Augusta, and Betty (Mitchell) Archie of Atlanta; brothers, Hubert (Florene) McNear of Swainsboro and Grover James Shedrick of NJ. Second special family, Earl, Colen, Wendell Turner, Robie Mosely, and Margaret Williams.
Mr. Shedrick leave behind 13 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Mosley’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
