The future home of Dongwon Autopart Technology, located at 297 Industrial Park, Swainsboro, sustained damage Saturday, August 1, after strong winds struck the construction site.

According to Emanuel County Development Authority CEO Ken Warnock, structural beams collapsed due to the high winds. No one was on the jobsite when the incident occurred.

The extent of the damage and whether the incident will affect the project's construction timeline have not yet been announced. Officials are assessing the site to determine the next steps for repairs and construction.

Established in 1971, Dongwon Autopart Technology supplies components such as doorframes, seat frames, and battery frames to automotive original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).
