Emanuel County Institute is pleased to announce that junior Lawson Frye has been selected for Youth Lead Georgia, a prestigious statewide leadership program coordinated by the University of Georgia’s J.W. Fanning Institute for Leadership Development.
Lawson will join high school students from across Georgia for leadership training, community engagement, and career and college readiness activities. Participants attend weekend retreats, meet civic and business leaders, and take part in hands-on learning to strengthen leadership skills and better understand issues facing Georgia Communities.
ECI Counselor Mandy Rigdon shared her excitement for Lawson’s accomplishment, saying, “Lawson is a natural leader and an exceptionally hard worker. He is inquisitive, determined, focused, and never hesitates to jump in and help with anything. His skills and abilities as a leader stretch far beyond the classroom. He is a role model for others, he supports his peers, and he contributes in meaningful ways that have a positive impact. Lawson's work ethic and leadership abilities set him apart. Being selected for Youth LEAD Georgia is an outstanding opportunity, and we know he will represent ECI and Emanuel County with excellence.”
Emanuel County Schools congratulates Lawson on this achievement and looks forward to the leadership and experiences he will contribute to our school and community.
