Franklin Memorial Library is set to bring an array of activities to you this February. A series of events, including a month-long Winter Reading Challenge, Toddler Time, Veterans Breakfast, a Teen Craft session, Children's Craft, our Annual Black History Program, Couple's Night, and Dr. Seuss Birthday Celebration are lined up for patrons of all ages. Starting on February 1, young readers ages 5-7 and 8-11 are invited to participate in our Winter Reading Challenge. This event aims to foster a love for reading among the young ones during the chilly season. We encourage everyone within this age bracket to join and dive into the exciting world of books. Following the Winter Reading Challenge, Toddler Time is scheduled on February 2 and February 9, both at 10:30 a.m. This regular program is designed to captivate the interest of our youngest patrons with age-appropriate stories and activities. Toddler Time is a staple at Franklin Memorial Library, held every Friday at 10:30 a.m. On February 5, we pay tribute to our local heroes with a Veterans Breakfast at 9:15 a.m. This event provides an opportunity for our community to express gratitude for the service and sacrifices of our veterans. Franklin Memorial Library holds this breakfast gathering every Monday at 9:15 a.m. Our teenagers are not left out of the fun. On February 6, we have a Teen Craft session lined up at 4:30 p.m. where participants will create No Sew Heart Pillows. This event provides a perfect platform for teens to explore their creativity and make new friends. Please note that on February 7, the library will open at 10 a.m. due to a staff meeting. We appreciate your understanding and apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause. Our Children's Craft will be held on February 9, at 4 p.m. This is a great opportunity for children to explore their creativity and maybe check out a book while here. Our Annual Black History Program will be held on February 17, at 10 a.m. Our Couple's Night will be held on February 22, at 6:30 p.m. with limited spots available. Finally, our Dr. Seuss Birthday Celebration will be held on February 26, at 4 p.m. We will provide more information for these later in the month events, as time gets closer.
