Franklin Memorial Library is excited to offer a variety of programs and activities for community members of all ages throughout October. On Thursday, October 15, the library will host several activities for patrons to enjoy. At 10:30 a.m., Deana’s Dash of Delish will return on Facebook Live through the library’s official Facebook page. This episode will feature a festive Halloween treat as Deana demonstrates how to make spooky cake pops. Later that afternoon, at 1 p.m., a Genealogy Class will be held in the library’s Genealogy Room. Katilyn will be available to assist researchers with family history, local town history, and other genealogy-related questions. No sign-up is required, and both experienced researchers and those just beginning their family history journey are welcome to attend. Children can also enjoy a creative activity that evening at 5 p.m. The children’s craft will feature 3D-printed fidget toys that participants can paint and personalize. This activity is intended for children ages 4–10 and sign-up is required as spots are limited.

The library will continue its regularly scheduled weekly programs as well. Toddler Time, hosted by Mrs. Shari, takes place every Friday at 10:30 a.m. offering young children an opportunity to participate in an engaging, age-appropriate program. The library also hosts its Veterans Breakfast every Monday at 9:15 a.m. providing an opportunity for veterans to gather and enjoy time together.

Adults interested in creative projects are invited to attend the Adult Craft on Tuesday, October 20, at 5 p.m. This program will continue the craft series that began last month, serving as Part 2 of the ongoing project.

Young history enthusiasts are encouraged to attend Kid’s History Club on Monday, October 26, at 3:30 p.m. The program is designed for children ages 6–11, although participants of all ages are welcome to attend and explore history together.
