The library will close early at 4 p.m. today, May 6, for a staff meeting. Patrons are encouraged to plan their visits accordingly. On Thursday, May 7, at 6 p.m., the library will host two separate craft events: a Kid’s Flowerpot Painting and an Adult/Teen Flower Painting Workshop. Both events take place at the same time, so participants are asked to be mindful when signing up. Be sure to tune in on Thursday, May 14, at 10:30 a.m. for Deana’s Dash of Delish on Facebook Live, where Ms. Deana will share a delicious summer recipe. The library will be closed Monday, May 25, in observance of Memorial Day and will reopen on Tuesday, May 26, at 8 a.m. The Library Board will also meet on that Tuesday at 4 p.m. As May continues, more information will be shared regarding early registration for the Summer Reading Program. In the meantime, mark your calendars for the Summer Reading Kickoff Party on May 28 at 10 a.m. Guests can enjoy popcorn, lemonade, hot dogs, and more. The library is also excited to welcome back Chad Crews, who will present two performances on May 28 at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. For questions or library services, call (478) 237-7791 or visit 331 West Main Street in Swainsboro.
