Franklin Memorial Library extends heartfelt thank you

Franklin Memorial Library would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the many sponsors who help make our programs and services possible. The library is incredibly grateful for the outpouring of support from our community. Without these generous individuals, businesses and organizations, many of the opportunities we provide would not be possible. We would like to recognize and thank the following sponsors: Off The Hook Fish & Seafood, Dollar General, Friends of Franklin Memorial Library, Nancy Williams, Robins Financial Credit Union, Quality Air Heating & Air Specialist, Anita Lewis, Veterans of the Library, Durden Banking Company, Tanker Lures, Mill Creek Foundation, Swainsboro Kiwanis Club, Emanuel County Sheriff's Office, Swainsboro Police Department and Emanuel County Fire Department. These sponsors share our love for the community and our commitment to encouraging learning, literacy and family-friendly programming. We appreciate their support more than words can express.

Don't forget about the crafts taking place this week. If you have not signed up yet, please call or visit the library to reserve your spot.

A reminder that the library will be closed on Friday, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth. We will resume regular hours on Saturday, June 20, from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m.

Looking ahead, our next Summer Reading Program performer will be Dino Discovery on Tuesday, June 23, at 11 a.m. Then on June 25, at 10 a.m., storyteller Barry Mann will visit the library to entertain audiences with stories and fun. Following his program, join us for the library's Summer Reading Program Color Party at 11:30 a.m. Enjoy water provided by the Emanuel County Fire Department and lunch generously provided by the Swainsboro Kiwanis Club. For more information about library programs and services, call (478) 237-7791 or visit us at 331 West Main Street in Swainsboro.
