Franklin Memorial Library announces a series of heartwarming and community-driven events to honor our veterans and celebrate the holiday season this December. On Fridays we have our Toddler Time at 10:30 A.M. This event is specifically designed to engage our youngest patrons and their caregivers with interactive stories and activities. On December 2nd at 8:00 A.M. our local veterans joined Mrs. Shari, a Library Assistant and secretary for our Veterans Breakfast, and Ms. Windy, the Manager of the Library, at the Swainsboro City Cemetery. This was a tribute to the brave soldiers who served our country, American flags were placed on the soldier’s graves. This event serves as respect for fallen soldiers and a reminder of the sacrifices made for our freedoms and the courage of those who served. The library also continues to foster creativity and learning within the community. On December 3rd , a ceramic class is confirmed to commence. Although the class has reached maximum capacity, the library encourages those who missed out to stay tuned. Similar classes and opportunities to learn and create are in the pipeline. The spirit of camaraderie continues on December 4th with a special Veterans Breakfast at the Farmhouse Cafe in Adrian starting at 9:15 A.M. The breakfast is a chance for the community to come together, connect with our veterans, and express our gratitude for their service. As the year winds down, Franklin Memorial Library is thrilled to keep the festive spirit alive with the much-anticipated Breakfast/Lunch with Santa event on December 9th . While spots for this event are already filled, the library is happy to share that it continues to be a cherished tradition. This event is made possible by the generous support of our sponsors; Emanuel County Family Connection, Emanuel County Kiwanis Club, ABC123 Football Program, and community pillars, Mr. Tim Goodman along with his wife Cheryl Goodman. Their contributions help the library in its mission to give back to the community and foster a sense of unity and joy during the holiday season. We are committed to creating opportunities for learning, fostering a sense of community, and honoring those who have served our nation. We invite everyone to be a part of these special events and look forward to celebrating the holiday season together.
