Four Swainsboro High School athletes chosen for Border Bowl X

Each year in January, some of the best senior high school football players and cheerleaders in the CSRA face off against one another in the annual Border Bowl as Team Georgia and Team South Carolina, for a chance at victory and of course, the coveted trophy. For the 2023 Border Bowl X game, four incredible Swainsboro Tiger athletes were selected amongst 57 others, to represent our hometown and state and battle for the paddle. These local stars are Swainsboro High School Seniors, Victoria McRee, Madison Hannah, and Antoria Hodges who are three of the 15 cheerleaders who were chosen to compete for the Georgia Cheer Squad and Swainsboro High School Senior, Dorien Foots who is one of the 42 football players chosen to compete in the CSRA’s all-star game. Border Bowl X will be held at Grovetown High School in Grovetown, Ga. on Saturday, January 7. Gates open at 10:30 a.m. and kick off is at noon. The cost of parking at Grovetown High School will be $5. Tickets to the game are $10 and can be purchased at Eventbrite.com. One hundred percent of the proceeds from this annual event are given to the Ronald McDonald House Charity of Augusta.
