Four sentenced in Superior Court

The following occurred during the Emanuel County Superior Court October 2023 term:

Jeffery Fennell negotiated a guilty plea on one count theft by taking. He was fined $2,000 with 5 years probation. Defendant is sentenced to a total of 5 years to be served on probation. Defendant is to receive credit for time served in custody as determined by the custodian.

Gilbert Daughtry negotiated a guilty plea on one count aggravated assault. He was fined $500 with 20 years probation; one count aggravated assault with 20 years probation; one count aggravated stalking with 10 years probation; and one count burglary in the 1st degree with 10 months probation. Defendant is sentenced for a total of 20 years to be served on probation.

Andrew Michael Bazemore negotiated a guilty plea on one count criminal attempt to commit felony. He was fined $50 with 10 years probation; and one count simple battery with 12 months probation. Defendant is sentenced to a total of 10 years to be served on probation.

Andrew Michael Bazemore negotiated a guilty plea on one count financial transaction card fraud. He was fined $50 with 2 years probation; one count financial transaction card fraud with 2 years probation; one count financial transaction card fraud with 2 years probation; one count financial transaction card fraud with 2 years probation. Defendant is sentenced to a total of 8 years to be served on probation.

Tavarius Devouil, repeat offender, was found guilty by jury for one count fleeing/attempting to elude. He was fined $10,000 with 10 years to serve; one count license to be carried/exhibited with 10 years to serve; one count safety belt violation with 10 years to serve; one count fleeing/attempting to elude with a $10 fine; and reckless driving with a $15 fine. Defendant is sentenced to a total of 10 years.

Defendant is to receive credit for time served in custody as determined by the custodian. The Court sentences the defendant as a recidivist under O.C.G.A. § 17-10-7(c).
