Family Connection sponsors literacy projects throughout the year. A favorite one is "The 10 Days of Book Holiday Countdown" where each ELA teacher is given 10 gifts that are wrapped to be opened before Christmas break. The teachers choose a student each day to open the gift, which is a book to go in the teacher's classroom library. This is a fun way to encourage reading and improve literacy. This year, Family Connection volunteers wrapped 290 gifts for this project! The teachers at SES were the recipients. A special thank you to Petite Garrett and Pam Carr who delivered the gifts.
