Family Connection sponsored the Scavenger Hunt for Books this summer. Local businesses participated by being the weekly secret location for children to follow clues and find their free books.
Family Connection would like to thank the eight businesses: All the Fixins; Swainsboro Fire Department; Leanna's; Farm Bureau; The Clucking Chicken; Daniel's Chevrolet; East Georgia Healthcare; and Durden Bank.
The families were invited to an "End of Hunt Celebration" hosted by Family Connection at the Franklin Memorial Library. Children could get any books that they may have missed. A total of 151 families participated in this fun literacy event! A special thank you to the Mill Creek Foundation for funding the project.
