Emanuel County Schools proudly recognized students and paraprofessionals during Georgia Future Educators Signing Day, celebrating their decision to pursue careers in education and invest in the future of their communities.
Students from Swainsboro High School and Emanuel County Institute participated in the signing, demonstrating their dedication to education. At Swainsboro High School, six seniors and one paraprofessional plan to teach in areas including physical education, agricultural education, music education, early childhood education, deaf education, and secondary education. Emanuel County Institute recognized two students, along with paraprofessionals participating in para-to-teacher programs, who are currently pursuing teaching degrees in special education.
Superintendent Dr. Denise Warnock said, “When our students choose to become educators, they are choosing to invest in the future of our communities, and that is something truly worth celebrating.” Sponsored by the Georgia Department of Education, the event addresses teacher shortages by encouraging future educators to teach locally and strengthen the teaching pipeline.
Emanuel County Schools is proud to see these future educators live our mission of preparing students for success.
