Emanuel County Schools congratulates the Class of 2026 on this significant milestone and recognizes the achievements, dedication, and community support that made it possible.
This year’s graduations were especially meaningful as Swainsboro High School and Emanuel County Institute graduates celebrated on their football fields, surrounded by renovated facilities that reflected both student effort and community support. Emanuel County Schools thanks Pope Construction and Sports Turf Company for their commitment during the SHS renovation. Their dedication and careful scheduling enabled the Tigers to take the field and celebrate graduation on their beautiful new football field, while Emanuel County Institute graduates walked across their field with the new field house as a backdrop for the memorable occasion.
“It was incredibly special to watch both graduating classes celebrate this milestone in their newly renovated facilities,” said Superintendent Dr. Denise Warnock. “These projects are a reflection of our community’s investment in students and the future of Emanuel County through ESPLOST funding. Furthermore, ESPLOST VI funding enabled Emanuel County Schools to pay for these projects ahead of their completion, allowing us to deliver these beautiful upgrades for the enjoyment of both 2026 graduating classes.”
ESPLOST funding continues to support Emanuel County Schools through facility improvements, technology upgrades, equipment, and other educational needs. The Education Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (ESPLOST) is a one-percent sales tax that funds school construction and renovations. This tax distributes the cost beyond property owners, as anyone who shops in Emanuel County, including visitors, contributes to our schools and students.
Congratulations again to the Class of 2026. Your achievements reflect the dedication of students, families, school staff, and community members who made these celebrations possible.
