Emanuel County Institute held its annual Junior and Senior Beta Club New Member Induction and Officer Installation Ceremony on Monday, September 28, in the ECI auditorium. The ceremony celebrated students who have demonstrated academic achievement, character, leadership, and a dedication to service.
The National Beta Club is a student-centered organization dedicated to developing students through opportunities that promote character, achievement, service, and leadership. Membership in the ECI chapter requires students to maintain a 90.0 cumulative grade point average, actively participate in club activities, and uphold the Beta principles of honesty, justice, service, cooperation, responsibility, humility, and charity.
At the ceremony, 21 middle school students were inducted into Junior Beta, and 26 high school students were inducted into Senior Beta. Each new member received a certificate and Beta pin and took the official National Beta Club pledge.
The new Beta officers for the 2026-2027 school year are: Junior Beta President: Chloe Best, Vice President: Kimber Peterson, Secretary: Anna Caroline Frye; Senior Beta President: Davis Johnson, Vice President: Lawson Frye, Secretary: Brodee Cate Johnson, and Grade-Level Representatives: Zoey Robertson, Amelia Meadows, Bowen Ware, and Pearl Meadows.
