The Emanuel County Board of Education met on Monday, May 11, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. at the Central Office with the following members in attendance: Tanya Lane, Elizabeth DeVane, John Allen Bailey, Del Brown, Jeanette Harden and Cherie Hooks. Brandon Jones was not present. Board Chair Del Brown welcomed everyone calling the meeting to order. Jeanette Harden delivered the invocation followed by Elizabeth DeVane leading the Pledge of Allegiance. John Allen Bailey made a motion to approve the agenda. Jeanette Harden seconded the motion. Tanya Lane, Elizabeth DeVane, John Allen Bailey, Del Brown, Jeanette Harden and Cherie Hooks voted “yes”. CARRIED.
