The Emanuel County Board of Education met on Monday, February 9, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. at Swainsboro Middle School with the following members in attendance: Tanya Lane, Elizabeth DeVane, John Allen Bailey, Del Brown, Jeanette Harden, Brandon Jones and Cherie Hooks. Board Chair Del Brown welcomed everyone calling the meeting to order. Brandon Jones delivered the invocation followed by Elizabeth DeVane leading the Pledge of Allegiance. John Allen Bailey made a motion to approve the agenda. Brandon Jones seconded the motion. Tanya Lane, Elizabeth DeVane, John Allen Bailey, Del Brown, Jeanette Harden, Brandon Jones and Cherie Hooks voted “yes”. CARRIED.
