The Emanuel County Board of Education met on Monday, January 12, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. at Twin City Elementary with the following members in attendance: Tanya Lane, Elizabeth DeVane, John Allen Bailey, Del Brown, Jeanette Harden, Brandon Jones and Cherie Hooks. Board Chair Del Brown welcomed everyone calling the meeting to order. Brandon Jones delivered the invocation followed by Tanya Lane leading the Pledge of Allegiance. John Allen Bailey made a motion to approve the agenda. Jeanette Harden seconded the motion. Tanya Lane, Elizabeth DeVane, John Allen Bailey, Del Brown, Jeanette Harden, Brandon Jones and Cherie Hooks voted “yes”. CARRIED.

Kimberly Jones addressed the Board to express her support for a candidate for Swainsboro High School’s head football coach position.
