August 24
Victim stated offender/victim’s son has been staying in the woods by his house and offender stole two aluminum pots from him. Victim stated he is missing a shotgun from his closet and thinks offender stole it. Victim showed deputy where offender is staying in the woods and found one of his pots and several other items he is missing. Victim advised he does not want offender on his property because he steals, and messes with dope.
Victim stated he got a complaint about offender’s dogs tearing up the neighbor’s trash. Victim advised he tried talking to offender, but he got mad and started cursing him, so victim backed off and called for a deputy to the location. Deputy tried talking to offender, but he would not cooperate. Deputy advised offender that if he couldn’t control his dogs, he would be fined and the dogs would be picked up.
Deputy was dispatched to Christopher Dr. in reference to dogs killing complainant’s chickens. C/p showed deputy where the dog dug under the fence and stated it killed eight of his chickens. Deputy spoke with the neighbor who stated he keeps his dogs inside and there are about five to six stray dogs in the neighborhood and none of his dogs killed c/p’s chickens.
August 26
Deputy observed a male subject sifting through the dumpsters on Whippoorwill Rd. Driver was arrested for driving on a revoked license. Upon a search of the vehicle, a magnetic box containing meth a THC vape pen were found. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail.
Deputy responded to Railroad Ave. in Stillmore in reference to damage to a vehicle. Complainant stated she was traveling behind a tractor trailer, and rocks were falling off and bounced off the road and hit her windshield causing cracks. Deputy observed two spots on the windshield consistent with that of a rock hit.
Victim stated she discovered unknown persons forged a check on her and her husband’s business account for $9,160 and was deposited into a Poca Valley Bank in West Virginia. Victim called the bank and gave them the account number the check was deposited into and was informed that the money was there, and they would look into it.
Deputy was dispatched to Coleman Chapel Rd. in reference to a person on a lawnmower who appeared to be unresponsive. Deputy observed a male subject seated on a zero-turn mower parked in the roadway and the male subject was leaned back and appeared to be passed out. Deputy observed the subject for a period of time, and he would occasionally raise his head before it fell back again. Deputy then made contact with the subject and after several attempts, gained his attention. Deputy asked what was going on and he stated he was going to check his mail. Deputy observed a strong odor of alcohol coming from his person. Deputy asked for his ID and presented an ID card. A check of his ID revealed that he has suspended license with multiple prior suspensions for DUI. Deputy then asked him to step off the mower and after several requests, he complied. Deputy observed his speech to be slurred, his eyes were bloodshot and glassy, and he was unsteady on his feet. Offender was advised that he was under arrest for DUI and transported to EmCo Jail.
August 27
Deputy responded to Slater Rd. in reference to debris in the road. Complainant stated several objects of debris had been dropped off in the road by his house and provided a piece with offender’s name and phone number on it. Deputy made contact with the subject’s wife who stated someone took the trash off for them on a trailer and may have dropped some. She was asked to remove the trash form the road, which was done.
Victim stated he got a stalking order against offender and offender goes to a store across the road and yells at victim with obscene words and shoots him birds. Victim stated offender has also been blasting him on Facebook.
Victim stated he purchased a vehicle and never received the tag.
August 29
SPD received a call in reference to a fight at Swainsboro Moose Lodge and deputies were at Waffle King getting a drink so the responded to assist. As officers arrived, staff had the fight separated and had the parties leaving. A male subject exited the building cussing at his wife who was with another couple and was advised that the issue had been resolved and to go back in or leave, so he went back inside. The other couple he was talking with looked at deputy and was advised that if he didn’t like the answer he gave the other couple, that he could also leave if he didn’t go back inside at which time he made some more comments and continued to argue with deputy as he was given verbal commands multiple times. Deputy then advised him for the last time to go inside or go to jail and he continued to say stuff, at which time he was told to place his hands behind his back because he was under arrest. Offender resisted. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail.
Deputies were dispatched to Gay Rd. in reference to threats. Complainant stated he works for AAA Discount Homes, and a customer had a home delivered and has been contacting them about issues with the residence since it was delivered. C/p stated he was invited to the location by offender to assess damages and see what needed to be repaired. C/p stated they were doing a walk-thru of the residence and they got into a verbal altercation.
August 30
Deputies were dispatched to McKenzie Dr. in reference to a domestic. Victim was bleeding from a cut above her right eye and refused to be checked out by EMS. Victim and offender were intoxicated. Victim stated her husband did not hit her, and offender stated he did not hit his wife, but his knuckles were bleeding and had a deep gash that looked like a bite mark. Offender was placed under arrest for battery-family violence as the primary aggressor and transported to EmCo Jail.
August 31
Deputies responded to Gardenia Rd. in reference to harassing calls. Complainant stated she received over 40 calls from offender and asked him to stop multiple time and he continues to harass her. C/p stated she had a TPO on offender, but it expired. Deputy advised her that she needs to get another TPO if she fears for her safety. C/p stated she tried to block offender, but he calls from different numbers.
