According to the Emanuel County Sheriff’s Office…

August 13

A traffic stop was conducted on Griffin Ferry Rd. for traffic infraction. Offender was arrested for dangerous drugs and transported to EmCo Jail.

August 14

Deputies responded to Ed Youmans Rd, in reference to assisting Swainsboro Fire with a structure fire. Victim’s family advised the fire could have been caused due to electrical issues.

Deputies responded to Hwy 56 North in reference to a male brandishing a firearm. Complainant advised an 18-wheeler pulled out in front of her and she had to slam on brakes to avoid a collision and she followed the truck for a few miles until the truck pulled over and c/p pulled over to speak with the driver and he got out of the truck waving a handgun.

Deputy received a report from complainant advising his son broke two windows to a Handy House out of anger. C/p advised he has had similar problems with the juvenile and recently started having problems with him refusing to go to school and being unruly towards both parents. C/p advised the juvenile left the house prior to him calling the law and stated he talked to DJJ.

Unknown suspect took victim’s phone while she was in class and was able to track it with a last known location on Elm St.

August 15

Deputy received a report from complainant advising offender had threatened him. C/p stated offender approached him in Oak Park and told him he needed to leave town or he was going to be carried out C/p advised offender later went and cussed the Dollar Tree manager out because she wasn’t allowing him to shop there.

August 16

Deputies responded to Dollar General in Oak Park in reference to a white powdery substance found in the restroom. Complainant stated just before closing the day prior, a male subject went in the store and went to the restroom and no one else went in behind him due to the store closing. C/p stated she and her ex-boyfriend have split up and she feels as though he sent the male subject in to plant drugs to try to get her fired.

Deputy assisted Daniels Chevrolet on a repossession on Longview Rd.

Deputy met with complainant who stated her niece/suspect was living with her for a while and she looked in her jewelry box to find her jewelry gone. C/p stated she recently threw the suspect out and she knew the jewelry was there prior to throwing her out.

August 17

Deputy met with complainant on Nannette St. in reference to a damaged vehicle report. C/p found the rear driver window shattered and the broken glass was on the ground.

Deputy spoke with complainant in reference to a TPO violation on suspect. C/p stated the suspect slandered her on Facebook.

Deputy met with complainant at ECSO in reference to a traffic related incident that occurred on Oak Grove Church Rd. C/p stated he had to avoid hitting another vehicle head on that was on the wrong side of the road by running off the road and striking a road sign that damaged his vehicle.

Offender was arrested on Halls Bridge Rd. for an outstanding warrant for the sale of meth.

August 19

Deputies responded to Marilyn Dr. in reference to an unwanted person. Complainant stated offender walked up on her porch and began banging on the door and when she answered, she was met by offender and offender’s brother. C/p stated she asked what they wanted, and offender began making accusations about stolen property. C/p advised offender that she didn’t know what he was referring to and told them to get off her porch and her property and she didn’t want them there. C/p stated offender became very irate and slung a grill off her porch.
