July 24

Deputy was dispatched to Zaxby’s for a vehicle unlock. Vehicle was unlocked with no damages.

Deputies were dispatched to Hwy 46 West to assist Candler Co. DFCS with a welfare check and the homeowner advised the child was with another family member in a different county. DFCS caseworker made contact with the family member to confirm the child was with him and left to travel to the family member’s residence.

Deputies were sent to Lake Side Rest home in reference to a resident threatening staff and other residents. Deputy met with the director/complainant and staff member/victim who stated offender has been threatening staff and other residents. After multiple complaints and incidents, offender’s probation officer took out a warrant on her and deputy informed her that she was being placed under arrest. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail.

Deputy was dispatched to Harrison Dr. in reference to a vehicle unlock. Vehicle was unlocked with no damages.

Deputy met with complainant and victim at ECSO in reference to a report of fraudulent activity.

Deputies were dispatched to McKenzie Dr. for a welfare check.

Deputy helped unlock a vehicle on Old Wadley Rd. with no damages.

Deputy responded to Old Swainsboro Rd. in reference to a wanted individual that had been observed at a residence. Deputy observed a vehicle that offender was known to drive and made contact with a male subject inside the residence. Deputy was trying to locate offender and was informed that he fled out the front door. Offender was located a short time later walking in the wood line beside the house and was successfully taken into custody and transported to EmCo Jail.

July 25

Deputy stopped a vehicle on Canoochee Rd. for failure to maintain lane.

Deputy was called to Hwy 23 North in reference to a deer collision. Vehicle sustained extensive damage.

Deputies were dispatched to Old Wadley Rd. in reference to a dispute. Complainant advised the male/child’s father no longer lives at the residence and has not lived there for eight months but was refusing to leave. C/p also advised that she has mental issues and had to call EMS the week prior and called the child’s father to go to her residence and help take care of their child. C/p brought up past incidents that resulted in issues to the point that she no longer wanted the child’s father there and he is not on the lease. Deputy spoke with the male subject who advised he was asked to help take go to the residence and that he had to leave Savannah as c/p checked herself into a mental hospital. Male subject informed deputy he was not on the lease and that the c/p threw soda on him and the child. Male subject was allowed to gather his belongings and while gathering them, c/p continuously made loud statements about him as if she was trying to entice him. Male subject did not raise his voice or attempt to cause issues while gathering his belongings. Male subject then asked to give his child a hug by which he was allowed to do so. The male subject then exited the residence and began to bring up past incidents in other counties and cities and was advised that those incidents were out of ECSO’s control, then entered his vehicle and left the residence.

Deputy served an arrest warrant on offender on Clark Ln. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail.

Deputy was dispatched to Olifftown Rd. in reference to a domestic. Before arriving, juvenile/offender had left in complainant/mother’s car. C/p stated her daughter jumped on her because she was upset and punched her in the face, slapped her several times, and got her keys and drove off to her father’s. C/p stated her daughter is on medication for mental health issues, but her father told her to stop taking them. C/p advised she has had to call law enforcement multiple times for her daughter acting out and hitting her and nothing has been done. Offender’s grandmother her back to c/p’s house and upon arrival, offender was placed under arrest for battery-family violence and stealing c/p’s car. Due to offender being a juvenile, c/p was informed that offender would be placed on a six hour hold and a juvenile complainant form would be filed.

Deputy took a walk-in report at ECSO in reference to a stole car title. Complainant stated he purchased the vehicle and had a bill of sale and had it delivered to Angela Dr. where he had been staying but believes suspect stole the title out of the mailbox and tried to steal the vehicle that is currently in the shop. C/p has been staying on suspect’s property for months and moved out due to their ongoing disagreements, but c/p believes suspect stole the title and is trying to claim it’s his. Deputy called suspect who stated he had not seen anything in the mail and has not been home. Deputy then spoke with the Tax Accessors Office and was told the title was mailed to Atlanta seven days prior and it should have been received by now. Deputy was also advised that if c/p wants another title, he would have to go through whoever the vehicle was bought from.

Deputy responded to Old Metter Rd. in reference to a 911 hang-up call and made contact with residents who advised it was a mishap.

Deputy met with complainant on Old Savannah Rd. in reference to subjects trespassing on his property. C/p stated unknown subjects have been driving around his residence and tearing up his yard. It appeared as thought a vehicle had driven around in circles in the back yard. C/p is unsure who offender(s) may be.

Deputy was dispatched to Red Roof in reference to a bad check. Complainant stated he cashed a che3ck for offender and it was returned as already being cashed. C/p stated he would give offender time to repay the money plus bank costs but if offender did not do this in a reasonable time, he will press charges.

July 27

Offender was taken into custody form Dellwood Main St. in reference to a dispute concerning complainant. Subject in question was intoxicated via alcohol and was transported to EmCo Jail.

July 28

Deputies were dispatched to Paris Ave. in reference to a domestic. Deputies met with all parties who advised the dispute was a verbal altercation.

De3puty. Responded to Hwy 192 North for a welfare check. Complainant stated she received text messages that the victim was being beat and had a video that showed marks. Contact was made with the victim and offender and they both stated they had been arguing but nothing physical occurred. Deputy noticed a minor abrasion on victim’s nose but no other marks on her body or face. Victim stated everything was ok and no further help was needed.

Deputy was contacted in reference to picking up someone wanted by Washington Co. Contact was made with offender in Garfield and he was transported to EmCo Jail to await transport.

Deputies arrived at S. Railroad Ave. to serve outstanding warrants on offender. Offender was located and transported to EmCo Jail.

July 29

Deputies arrived at Old Metter Rd. to serve outstanding warrants on two offenders. Both were located and transported to EmCo Jail.

Deputy met with complainant on Hwy 121 North in reference to a stolen vehicle.

Deputy was dispatched to Canoochee Rd. in reference to a TPO violation.

Deputy was called to Canoochee Rd. in reference to a car being halfway in the road with no one around it. Deputy ran the tag and called the listed numbers on file but they were not working numbers. Deputy then called for a tow truck since the vehicle was a traffic hazard.

Deputy met Candler Co. deputy Hwy 23 to take custody of offender who had outstanding warrants for EmCo. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail.

July 30

Deputy responded to Leman Rd. for a report of a theft. Complainant stated her daughter and a male subject broke into her building beside her residence. C/p showed camera footage and both offenders could be seen going to the door of the building with what appeared to be a hammer and attempt to gain access. Both individuals then go out of camera range and return a short time later with two lights which c/p stated were taken from the building. Both individuals then search around the yard for a short period and disappear from camera range. C/p stated the only items she was aware of being missing were the two lights and two Singer sewing machines.

Deputies were dispatched to Allen Dr. in reference to a domestic. Deputies met with parties involved and were advised it was a verbal altercation.

Deputy was dispatched to Hwy 192 in reference to an alarm call. Homeowner stated everything was ok.

Deputies were dispatched to Ed Youmans Rd. in reference to a 911 hang-up call. 911 advised they attempted to reestablish the call but were unsuccessful. Deputy made contact with the caller who advised he had been cutting grass with his phone in his pocket and the emergency call feature had been hit while riding the mower.

SPD units were dispatched to Harmon Park in reference to meeting with complainant for a missing person report. It was determined the last time the person in question was seen was Friday on Hwy 5 East.

Deputy was called to Hwy 46 East in reference to a female stating her ex-husband had been inside her house. Deputy spoke with c/p who stated she has been in FL and got home to find her back door open and stated it’s her soon-to-be ex-husband. C/p stated she filed for divorce and offender moved out months ago but he still has a few things at the house and she knows he went inside because she has him on camera. C/p stated he goes over there anytime he wants and walks right in, no matter if she is there or not and she hired someone to cut the grass and offender went over there and told the worker to finish cutting the grass but to never go back. C/p stated she is scared of offender and wants him to stop going to her house without her permission.
