July 10

Deputy responded to Meadow Lark Ln. in reference to loud music where complainant advised her neighbor had been playing loud music since 6am and played it for over an hour. Deputy made contact with two juveniles that were outside playing music and was advised to turn it down.

Deputy was dispatched to EGSC in reference to unlocking a vehicle.

Deputy took a report in reference to a stolen weed eater.

Deputy met with complainant in reference to a property dispute. Upon speaking with c/p, learned that the property in question was the result of the death of a family member. C/p stated there was not a will set in place for property disbursement, so c/p was informed it would be a civil issue and it would need to be settled through civil court. Upon running c/p through GCIC, it was determined he had active warrants through Candler Co. C/p was taken into custody and transported to EmCo Jail.

Deputy was conducting traffic enforcement on GA4 when he observed a vehicle traveling 75 MPH in a 55 MPH zone. As the vehicle got closer, it continued to speed up and was checked at 79 MPH, at which time he initiated a traffic stop. Deputy asked the driver for his license at which time he provided a Mexico ID. The driver did not have a Mexico license or passport with him. Deputy then attempted to run the driver through GA, however, was unable to get anything back. Deputy went back and spoke with the driver and asked for him to call someone to pick him up. Driver was advised he could go to DDS and obtain a driver’s license if he was here legally. The driver then brought up making a license and he was told he could not do that. Once the vehicle was retrieved, offender was transported to EmCo Jail.

Deputy assisted with unlocking a vehicle on N. Coleman St.

July 11

Complainant stated offender, who is his son, keeps cussing at him and he’s tired of it and wants him out of his house. Offender agreed to leave the residence and called his girlfriend to pick him up.

July 12

Deputy met with complainant at his gate shop on Hwy 297 due to the gate being forced open and a vehicle driving to his shop. The tracks could be observed in the grass going towards the shop on the property and appeared to have turned around. C/p stated the alarm to the building had been activated and alerted him and the building was locked and closed upon his arrival. Upon checking the door, minor tool marks were observed on the door and door casing at the locking mechanism. C/p stated he did not observe anything missing.

Deputy responded to McLeod Bridge Rd. in reference to a hit and run. Complainant advised he was passing a tractor on the roadway and once he passed it, the suspect also passed the tractor and made contact with c/p’s vehicle, causing minor damage to the front passenger side. Both parties pulled over and exchanged information and was told by suspect she would fix the damage. C/p advised he has called and texted the suspect several times with no return calls, so he requested for a damage report. Upon further investigation, deputy discovered the suspect’s registration and license are suspended. C/p was advised of the process to seek in resolving the matter.

Deputies assisted the cable company with stopping traffic on Hwy 80 East so they could pull a cable across the highway.

July 13

Complainant went to ECSO to report she bought a vehicle about two months ago and never received the tag or paperwork for it. C/p went to the tag office and got a tag and was told to have a report filled out.

Deputies responded to Bob White Rd. in reference to offender going on the property trying to pick up victim. Offender stated the victim called him stating she was unhappy and wanted him to pick her up. Offender and victim are brother and sister, and c/p is the daughter and power of attorney of the victim. C/p advised deputies that she did not want offender to have contact with the victim. Deputies spoke with the victim who advised she was in fact happy and that she did not want to see her brother, and advised she wanted offender trespassed. Deputies advised offender of the victim’s wishes and advised him if he went back on the property, he would be arrested.

Deputy took a report regarding property damage on Patrick St. Complainant stated trucks have been racing down her road causing damage to her property and the shrubs on the side of her yard. There were clear tire tracks running through the side of her yard and evidence of donuts being performed in the road.

Deputies responded to Ollie Youmans Rd. in reference to a call about possible stolen road signs. Complainant stated he observed a truck with what appeared to be road signs affixed to wooden posts in the back of the truck. Deputies traveled the area in attempt to make contact with the truck but had negative contact.

July 14

Deputy met with complainant at ECSO where he stated he was having problems with his neighbor’s dogs going under his carport taking their shoes and tearing them up. C/p stated he asked then neighbors to please keep their dogs in their yard as he keeps his puppies in his yard and the neighbors didn’t really listen to him. Deputy advised c/p to go to the Police Dept. and file a report since he lives in the city limits.

Deputy met with complainant at ECSO where he stated he hit a deer on Kite Rd causing moderate damage to his vehicle.

July 15

Deputy responded to a Hwy 1 South in reference to complainant hitting a deer.

July 16

Deputy was dispatched to Price Williams Rd. in reference to a missing person. Complainant stated the family member left sometime during the night. A few hours later, c/p called 911 and stated the family member had returned home.

Deputy met with complainant at ECSO in reference to a complaint of someone shooting her dog. C/p stated she had gotten a puppy from suspect and the puppy was knocking over her child, so she returned the puppy and she talked to suspect who sent pictures of the puppy in a cage and stated something was wrong with it. C/p then stated she made plans to retrieve the puppy but before she could, suspect stated her husband had put it down due to it being aggressive and attempting to bite him.

Deputies were dispatched to Eldora Rd. in reference to a domestic. Deputies met with offender who advised the incident to have been a verbal altercation. Offenders had separated themselves and resolved the issue price to deputies’ arrival. The male offender left the location to allow the two time to calm down.

Deputies were dispatched to Meadow Rd. for a verbal dispute.

Deputy responded to Waller Wood Cir. In reference to a dispute in progress. Deputy met with offender who stated a male at the residence had choked her and pushed her to the ground causing her to defecate on herself. While speaking with offender, deputy could smell a strong odor of alcoholic beverage coming from her person. Offender stated she was at the property taking pictures for the commissioners meeting that was upcoming. Deputy then made contact with the residents and identified complainant and witness. Both parties stated offender and her husband have been harassing them about their yard and vehicles since they moved in the neighborhood and the witness showed a video of the altercation. Offender was seen standing on the right of way yelling expletives at the witness and c/p. Offender was then seen approaching c/p and slapped him in the back of the neck. Offender was advised to leave the area and not return to the property and harass them anymore. C/p and witness were explained the steps to take a TPO against offender to try to prevent any future occurrences.
