June 5

Victim got in a fight with offender a few days prior. The offender also had a TPO against the victim that was served on 6.8.23. The victim stated that he pays his rent and electric bills but the offender still cut the power off for the victim three days before. Deputy advised that offender can’t cut the power without a court order.

June 8

Victim states that someone entered his house at an unknown time and date and stole several items.

June 9

Deputies responded to Durden Road in reference to a structure fire. Upon arrival deputies assisted fire and EMS with traffic and crowd control.

Deputy talked with c/p over the phone where she stated that she owns the property listed but lives in Arizona. C/p stated that an electric company was on her property to cut down trees that were in the way of the electric wires and a witness saw suspected fishing in her pond. She stated that she will be coming soon to press charges in Magistrate Court.

Deputy took offender into custody after he turned himself in for outstanding warrants.

June 10

Deputy conducted a traffic stop after a vehicle was driving the wrong way. When approaching the vehicle, deputy immediately smelled an odor of alcoholic beverage and observed an open 24 pack of Busch Light in the floorboard. Marijuana was also located in the vehicle. The open container was poured out and drug related objects were taken into evidence. Driver was placed under arrest.

Deputies assisted Swainsboro PD with a burglary that occurred at the Smoke Cave.

Deputy responded to Pelican Road in reference to threats being made. C/p advised that her landlord/offender had come to her residence with a handwritten eviction. C/p stated that the told the landlord that it had to be done through the court and he got upset and began threatening her husband. She was advised to notify the law if he returns.

June 11

Deputy took a report from c/p advising that about 2-3 weeks ago, his truck had broken down by the big church on Lamb’s Bridge Road. He stated that a man approached him about parking his truck in his yard to get it off the side of the road. When c/p returned to fix the truck, he was unsuccessful, he returned 2 weeks later, and his truck was gone. The man stated that someone came to pick up the truck, claiming c/p sent him. C/p had no knowledge of this, and the man has since blocked his phone calls. The truck was later found on Facebook Marketplace. After contacting the seller, he was blocked and the post was removed.

Deputies assisted GSP with traffic control while they worked a single vehicle rollover. The driver was transported by EMS to Augusta University Hospital.

Deputy responded to a local grocery store in reference to threats being made. C/p advised that he was the manager and his employee had received a call from a female asking questions about the store. The employee said “Ma’am, I can not give out that information.” The caller got upset and said, “I’m not a lady I’m transgender.” Witness stated that the caller said something about making a Tik Tok and said “Make sure everyone is safe because I’m sitting outside and fixing to come in with an AK47.” Caller ID was provided. Deputy remained in the area for a while for observation.

Deputy responded to a report of a stolen firearm. C/p stated that his pistol was taken from his truck but nothing else was taken.

Deputy took a report regarding around $750.00 cash being stole out of a vehicle. C/p stated that the night before, three vehicles had been gone through and the money was taken. All three vehicles were unlocked but there was no damage to any vehicle.

Deputy took a report regarding a vehicle being damaged. C/p stated that her tire had been slashed at Flat’s Lounge.
