May 5
Deputies received a break-in call with offender still inside the house. Deputies arrived on scene and made contact with complainant who stated she own the home and rents it to her nephew who is currently in the hospital in Augusta and has been there for about two months so no one should be in the house. Deputies made contact with two individuals inside the house and informed them why they were there, and they stated they are good friends with c/p’s nephew and had permission to be there. Deputies made contact with the nephew who stated he did give them permission to be there but asked them to leave until he got out of the hospital. Deputies informed c/p that they had permission from her nephew so technically they did not break in.
Victim stated she went to her son’s grave, and someone moved a picture and walked on the edge of the grave and dug dirt up.
May 6
Deputy observed a vehicle run off the road and made a traffic stop. Deputy noticed offender could not stand up straight and his speech was slurred so he asked if he consumed any alcohol and he stated no, he was trying to save a life. Deputy then asked offender if he would perform a field sobriety and blood sample and he refused. Upon a search of the vehicle, four alcoholic beverage containers were found. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail.
Deputy spoke with complainant in reference to money being stolen from her while she was incarcerated. C/p stated offender was supposed to take her paycheck and deposit it in her account at the jail but learned that offender failed to do so. C/p stated she also learned that offender posed as her mother and gained access to her paycheck at her other job and they cashed it for her. C/p advised she believes offender also attempted to get a loan through her name due to c/p’s mother receiving a letter in the mail about the loan application. C/p stated she has evidence of offender taking the money on her Homeway account.
May 7
Deputy responded to Dellwood Main St. in reference to serving a TPO on offender. While serving the TPO, deputy learned offender had an active probation warrant and transported him to EmCo Jail.
Deputy was dispatched to assist GSP on Modoc Rd. Trooper had a vehicle stopped and stated that during the stop, the driver gave him false info, and another vehicle stopped and gave a different last name than what the driver had given but was still unable to identify the driver. Deputy walked up the vehicle and observed a pill and learned it was a schedule II narcotic. Deputy also observed an employee ID with a picture that matched the driver. Info was turned over to Trooper and informed the drive that he has suspended license. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail.
May 8
Deputy observed a truck enter the dumpsite on Hwy 23 N and observed a male exit the driver side and begin to sift through the dumpsters. Deputy made contact with the driver, and he informed deputy that his license is suspended, and he has an active warrant through Jenkins Co. Deputy confirmed the info and had a hit sent and was advised they wanted a hold placed. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail.
