February 23

A search warrant was served at Sunset Inn.

Investigator was called for assistance by deputy in reference to GSP making a traffic stop with narcotics. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail.

February 25

Investigator made a traffic stop on Circle St. Offender was arrested transported to EmCo Jail for marijuana possession.

Complainant filed a report in reference to two 30 gallon propane tanks being stolen off his camper and believes they were taken by his neighbor.

February 26

Complainant went to ECSO and stated her tag was lost in the mail.

Deputy responded to Hwy 86 East in reference to a theft. Victim stated someone took several items from his property.

February 27

Deputies were dispatched to North 2nd St. in reference to a burglary in progress and complainant had intruder held at gunpoint. Deputies made contact with c/p who stated he confronted offender at gun point while inside the shed and he fled with several items taken from a freezer. C/p attempted to pursue offender but lost contact in a wooder area. Video footage was obtained from the home security camera. Upon further investigation, deputies set up a perimeter and found him hiding in an abandoned home off of 4th Ave. Offender was taken into custody.

February 28

Complainant went to ECSO and stated he had two tags that were mailed to him about a month ago that he never received.

Deputy responded to Griffin Ferry Rd. in reference to a male subject passed out on a four-wheeler with a gun in his waist band. While enroute, deputy observed the male subject traveling south on the four-wheeler and attempted to make a traffic stop. The four-wheeler failed to stop and turned onto Robin Rd. and continued through a field where deputy lost sight of him. 911 then advised a male on a SXS followed the four-wheeler and advised it turned on Lee Williamson Rd. then Reedy Creek Circle then wrecked, and the male subject fled on foot. Deputy was able to identify the male subject as being a former inmate at EmCo Jail and was able to match the four-wheeler on his wife’s Facebook page. Warrants will be taken out on offender.

February 29

Deputy responded to Dollar General in Garfield in reference to a shoplifting. Complainant stated an unknown male subject went in the store for the last two days and tried to steal items. Deputy got a picture off the male subject off the surveillance cameras and was able to get him identified. Deputy went to offender’s residence and trespassed him from the store. He was advised that he would be charged if he returned.

March 1

Victim stated he usually gets his children on the weekend and he called his wife to see about getting them and she told him he couldn’t. Deputy advised c/p he would have to go to court if this happens again.

Deputy met with complainant who stated an account that he never had was sent to collections. C/p advised he opened a fraud case.

March 3

Deputies responded to Gumlog Rd. in reference to an assault. Complainant stated she attempted to pull into her parking spot in front of her apartment but couldn’t due to her neighbor’s visiting family member being parked there. C/p stated an argument took place that turned physical and appx. five people jumped on her. C/p advised she fell to the ground and was stomped during the altercation. No physical evidence was observed. Deputy walked over to the other party who stated he parked in the parking spot and as he was attempting to leave in order to deescalate the situation, c/p grabbed him from behind and they began wrestling around and people broke it up. Victim had a scratch under his chin but declined to press charges.

Deputy met with complainant in reference to a criminal trespass and theft incident. C/p stated someone stole a dirt bike and cut through the fence line to get it from under a shed. An unknown vehicle was observed using a search on the property as it passed from the road. It was further. Noted that c/p’s ex-girlfriend of c/p’s son would likely be the suspect due to her knowledge of the property and would be able to direct someone as to where and how to enter the property.
