February 19

Deputies responded to Hwy 57 in reference to a domestic dispute.

Deputy was dispatched to N. Old Reidsville Rd. in reference to a theft. Complainant stated she noticed a truck leaving from a barn at her residence and found a tiller to be missing. C/p further advised the truck has been seen at other locations in the area.

Deputy met with complainant on Oak Park Hwy. in reference to a theft. C/p stated offender removed $48,000 worth of medical equipment from the vehicle.

February 20

Vehicle was traveling on Hwy 1 when it struck a deer causing the vehicle having to be removed by a towing company.

Vehicle was traveling on Hwy 221 when it struck a deer causing moderate damage to the vehicle.

February 21

Investigator was given information regarding the possible location of illegal drugs.

February 24

Deputy observed a vehicle run off the shoulder of the road, then maneuver into the north bound lane, at which time he got behind the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop on Hwy 192. Deputy approached the vehicle and could smell a strong odor of alcoholic beverage coming from the driver. Deputy then asked for the driver’s license and asked how much he had to drink and he stated appx. eight beers. Deputy returned to his unit and learned the vehicle was registered to the driver with suspended license and returned to the vehicle and asked the driver to step out. Deputy then asked the driver to perform a field sobriety and he stated he did not wish to perform any tests. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail.
