February 16

Deputy was dispatched to Badger Rd. in reference to a male being held at gunpoint who was attempting to break in the residence. Male subject stated he was at the residence to meet a friend who he knew through playing video games together. Deputy ran his Missouri ID to find he was an endangered missing person and had not taken his meds in several weeks for bipolar disorder, ADHD and autism. Complainant stated he did not know the male subject, and he was knocking on the door and windows of the residence. Deputy explained to c/p what male subject stated about being there and learned the friend he was talking about is c/p’s grandson who knew he was coming and invited him but gave him directions to a homeless shelter. Contact was made with subject’s mother who advised she would obtain a plane ticket to pick him up.

February 18

Deputies received a call to Culbreth Ln. in reference to a domestic. Complainant stated her husband suffers from mental health issues and accused her of taking his UPS check but has not received a check from them for over five years. C/p has been taking care of offender’s bills and finances due to his health conditions. Offender was transported to EMC ER.

Deputy met with complainant who stated someone keeps turning her water pump on at her vacant house on Blun Rd. causing her electric bill to be very high.

Deputy was contacted by complainant who stated she hit a pothole at the end of Thigpen Dr. causing both of her passenger tires to pop.

February 19

Deputy spoke with complainant in reference to her purse being stolen. C/p advised offender spent the night with her son and did not realize her purse was missing until she saw it on Facebook Marketplace.

Deputy responded to Pendleton Springs Rd. in reference to someone breaking into the residence.

February 20

Victim stated he has a camper on Gar Rd. and someone stole two 40-gallon LP tanks off of it. C/p also had a boat chained and locked on the river and found where someone cut the lock and found his boat down the river. C/p had a trail camera with a picture of subject and was sending it in for review.

Deputy responded to New Hope Church Rd. in reference to someone knocking on caller’s door and 4-5 shots being fired. It was determined that neighbors were shooting in a safe direction but there has been some misunderstanding with the neighbors in the past.

February 21

Victim stated he got a call from his cousin that the victim’s brother/offender was going in c/p’s shop. Offender was told he wasn’t wanted in the shop and got very irate and started cussing and got aggressive towards victim. Victim and offender got into a fight and victim fired two shots in the air to get offender to leave. Victim stated offender is supposed to be on medicine for his mental health issue and has been known to do drugs. Victim also stated he saw a gun in offender’s vehicle, and he is a convicted felon.

Deputy was dispatched to Bobby Hall Dr. in reference to a missing dog. Complainant also wanted to report that a TPO was served on her husband, and he blocked c/p’s access to their home security system and gave access to his daughter and her friend so they can spy on her.

Deputy received a call in reference to someone purchasing a vehicle and finding a pistol inside it. Contact was made with the owner of the pistol, and it was turned back over to her.

Complainant stated a catalytic converter was stolen off her vehicle. A friend of c/p advised he picked up an individual from the residence and gave him a ride to Toombs Co. and stated the converters were by a tree across the road.

February 22

Deputy observed a male subject on a dirt bike at the dump site on Cowford Bridge Rd. digging through the dumpsters. Deputy attempted to make contact with him, and he started the bike and accelerated. Offender continued to flee and the bike began having mechanical issues and appeared to be slowing down and sputtering. Driver jumped off and climbed up the embankment and was given commands to stop, at which time he complied. Offender was detained and found to have outstanding warrants through Emanuel, Johnson and Appling County and his license had been suspended for failure to appear. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail.

February 23

Deputy was dispatched to Red Roof Express in reference to a tractor railer on fire. Owner stated they were in the process of jump starting it when it caught fire. C/p stated it started so fast the entire cabin was engulfed before they knew it and tried to put it out with extinguishers.
