January 21
Complainant went to ECSO to report hitting a deer on Hwy 1 North, causing moderate damage to her vehicle.
January 22
Deputy received a call to go to Old Kenfield Rd. in referenced to damage to a vehicle. Victim stated both back tires were flattened while in her yard. Victim had a tire service go to her house and they found the tires had multiple holes that appeared to be stabbed in both tires.
Deputy responded to Wheeler Rd. in reference to a property exchange.
Deputy was dispatched to EMC for a dog bite. Victim stated while dropping off items to a relative on Stingray Rd., a small dog bit her ankle, leaving puncture marks. Deputy contacted AC1 and met them on Stingray Rd. where the described dog was observed and appeared aggressive. Several attempts were made to apprehend the dog but were unsuccessful. AC1 advised traps would be set in attempt to capture the dog.
Victim stated tow unknown people have been threatening him online. Victim has communicated with them for a short time but wanted to report suspects threatening to post a nude picture supposedly of victim online and to ruin his life. Suspects are requesting $300 to not post the picture.
Deputy responded to McKenzie Dr. in reference to an unwanted person.
January 23
Deputy was requested by SPD on a traffic stop on E. Main St. Officer explained there was a complainant about an employee going to work intoxicated and asked if he could perform a PBT and he was advised he could. C/p advised officer that if the employee was intoxicated, he would have someone pick her up and take her home. During the conversation with c/p, offender walked out and got in her vehicle. Officer observed employee leave in the vehicle and advised another officer of the situation and the officer got behind offender to find the vehicle did not have any working tag lights and observed offender fail to maintain lane, crossing the center line, at which time he initiated a traffic stop. Officer asked the driver to step out of the vehicle and officer observed offender using the truck to balance. Officer asked offender if she anything to drink and she stated around midnight. While speaking with offender, officer could smell a strong odor of alcoholic beverage coming from her person. Officer then asked if she would perform a field sobriety and she stated yes. After several attempts, offender tested positive for alcohol. Officer advised offender she was under arrest for DUI. Offender’s vehicle was searched to find six bottles of liquor in the rear seat and three were open. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail.
Deputy responded to S. 2nd St. in reference to a stolen vehicle. While enroute, deputy was advised the vehicle had been reported as a repossession earlier that night. Deputy spoke with the repo driver who advised he had an active repo order before towing it. Deputy then made contact with complainant who stated she bought the car from a man in Atlanta and it was paid off and she has the title. C/p advised the man she bought the vehicle from acquired it from an auction and believed it had been repossessed before being auctioned. C/p was advised to obtain the documents and contact the repo company and company who put the repo order out.
Deputies responded to Sunset Dr. for someone being followed. Complainant and victim advised they were being followed by two females and there is a stay-away order on one of them, but a stay-away order could not be found.
January 24
Complainant called ECSO to report that for the last two months, he has noticed where someone has been going on his property and taking gas out of vehicles. Deputy asked about cameras and c/p stated he did not have any but has plans to put some up.
January 25
Deputies responded to Pine St. in reference to a third-party call of a domestic dispute. Deputy observed complainant standing on the steps holding a pair of boots in one hand and what appeared to be a dagger in the other hand so he gave verbal commands to drop the dagger and move away from it. C/p complied and was detained. Deputy then advised c/p to stand with another officer while contact was made with the other party involved. Deputy made contact with the other party/offender who stated she was supposed to take c/p to the bus station in Savannah so he could go to Florida. Offender stated c/p asked her to go with him to FL, at which point she advised that she could not go due to prior engagements. Offender stated c/p began accusing her of seeing other people and became irate and grabbed her by her arm. No marks were observed. Offender stated she grabbed a dagger and pointed it at c/p and he took it away from her and was holding it when deputies arrived. Offender stated she declined to pursue criminal action and did not wish to file a report. Deputy then removed the handcuffs from c/p and explained why he was detained. C/p advised that this is not the first time something like this has happened and that he was stabbed several weeks ago by offender but did not call law enforcement. C/p did not want to pursue any criminal action against offender and did not wish to file a report.
Complainant went to ECSO and stated his tag was mailed on 12/15/23 and he has not received it.
January 26
Deputy received a call from Johnson County SO stating he may have came in contact with a sex offender living in GA without being registered.
Deputy met with complainant who stated an unknown offender gained access to victim’s food stamp information and used the card in NY totaling $147.
January 27
Deputy was dispatched to Fairground Rd. in reference to complainant stating someone took mail from his mailbox. C/p stated his next door neighbor took a passport and two international driver license from his mailbox. While speaking with c/p, offender walked over and returned the passport and one license. When asked about the other license, he advised it was given to a male subject that cuts grass but he would get it and return it to c/p. Offender stated he took the items because he believed c/p to have been causing issues at residences in the location. C/p stated they do not know offender but have had several issues with him. C/p later met with deputy to report offender did not return the documents.
Deputy was dispatched to Lambs Bridge Rd. in reference to a hit and run. Complainant stated a truck backed into her vehicle then fled the scene. Deputy observed damage to the vehicle consistent with a trailer hitch striking it.
Deputies were dispatched to Old Nunez Rd. in reference to the caller stating her ex-boyfriend stated he was on the way to take the kid and a cell phone. Contact was made with offender who stated he was tracking a stolen phone and explained when they broke up, he asked for it back and c/p refuses to give it back. C/p stated the phone was given to her by offender as a gift and they split up and now he wants it back. C/p advised she wanted offender trespassed so he was advised that he was being trespassed from the property and if he returned, he would be arrested. Offender was explained the process of gaining rights to his child and to go through Magistrate Court to obtain the phone back. This made offender and his father upset and they began fussing in front of the children on the side of the road. Both were advised they could be arrested for disorderly conduct then advised them to return to the vehicle.
January 28
Deputy met with complainant at Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church in reference to a report of criminal trespass. C/p advised he found where offenders did donuts in the grass at the entrance of the church. Video footage showed two trucks pulling in the church parking lot and one cutting donuts before leaving.
Deputy spoke with complainant who stated she has river property on Heron Rd. and someone stole her kayaks from a lock and chain. C/p stated they are worth about $200 each.
Deputy was dispatched to Lake Luck Dr. in reference to someone following the caller and having an active TPO. Deputy met with c/p who stated offender followed her from Huddle House to her residence. No active TPO could be found through GCIC.
