January 18
Deputies responded to Kathleen Rd. in reference to a window being busted. Complainant stated he and his wife heard the window break and opened the front door to find the storm door had been broken with a rock and witnessed small children running away stating they didn’t throw any rocks before being asked. Deputies made contact with tenants at the residence and made arrangements with the victim to pay for the storm door.
Complainant called ECSO and stated he wanted to file a report on a dog damaging his vehicle. On JM Spearman Rd. C/p stated the dog ran out in front of him so he stopped, and the dog started biting and scratching his vehicle.
Deputy was advised of a suspicious person on Sand Hill Rd. walking around asking people for money to get gas. Deputy made contact with the vehicle but offender was nowhere around so deputy advised 911 to send for the next available wrecker. While waiting on the wrecker, c/p stated offender ran off from the Stillmore area. Offender then arrived on scene where he stated he left to go get someone to get the vehicle due to it being broken down. Offender was advised he had until 12:32 p.m. to have the vehicle removed and the wrecker was cancelled.
January 19
Complainant stated her father/victim just passed away and she found out she was on her father’s banking accounts so she went to check on them and found out her father’s stepdaughter/offender has been writing checks out of the accounts and she is not on any of the accounts. Offender also has been using victim’s debit card to get money. C/p also stated her brother went to check on their father about three weeks ago and found him sitting alone in the house in his wheelchair with all the furniture gone.
Complainant called deputy and stated a dog broke into her chicken pen and killed her chickens and he was still in the pen. Deputy responded to Monroe St. and saw where the dog broke into the pen and was still in there being very aggressive. Deputy contacted AC1 and the responded and had to tranquilize the dog to get him out of the pen and took him to the pound. C/p stated four chickens were worth $120 and the pen was worth $200 and was completely destroyed. Deputy contacted the owner of the dog and she stated she would get with c/p and pay for the damages.
Deputies responded to Hwy 56 North in reference to a domestic dispute. Complainant advised he and his wife/suspect had an argument and she kicked a table over. C/p stated his wife left the residence walking and later returned prior to deputy’s arrival. C/p also advised they have had other domestic disputes where he was the one always going to jail and wanted to press charges. C/p stated his wife takes medicine for mental health issues. Deputy spoke with the wife and she advised c/p would not leave her alone and kept following her throughout the residence. She also stated c/p’s ‘s drinking habits have a lot to do with their arguing and advised it did not get physical this time. Deputies tried to mediate the situation between them but they continued to argue. The wife advised she did not have anywhere to go so c/p stated he would have his father pick him up.
January 20
Complainant went to ECSO to make a report on child custody. He stated he and his ex-girlfriend have a child together and he was granted split custody. C/p stated the mother was court ordered to give him every other weekend with his child and he hasn’t seen his child since early November. C/p advised it is in the papers that she was to meet him at ECSO at 6 p.m. every other weekend. Deputy attempted to call the mother and it was sent to voicemail. Deputy then had c/p send her a text advising her that it was a deputy trying to get in touch with her and she never called or texted back.
Deputies were dispatched to Pelican Rd. in reference to a male who took a bunch of pills and ran towards Hwy 23. Investigators were the first on scene where they were able to locate offender. Deputy spoke with offender who stated he and his wife got into a verbal argument and he took 30 blood pressure pills. Deputy then spoke with complainant who stated she was gone all day and when she returned, offender began arguing with her and left the room and took a bunch of pills, walked outside and began hitting her car with a baseball bat then left. Deputy then spoke with c/p’s 14-year-old daughter wo stated she was present during the arguing and stated she witnessed offender hitting the car with the baseball bat and she tried to get him to stop by yelling at him and that’s when he stopped and began walking towards her with the bat raised as if he was going to hit her and believes he was going to hit her with the bat. Offender was transported to EMC ER and placed under arrest.
