October 24

Deputy took a report regarding complainant hitting a tire in the roadway on 2nd St. C/p stated the tire came off a tractor trailer.

Deputies responded to Hwy 46 East in reference to an irate female. Complainant stated offender is his daughter and he suspected she was back on drugs and has been very irate and passed out sitting on the couch. Deputies made contact with offender who advised c/p pushed her into the refrigerator and she just wanted to leave the property. C/p stated offender got irate and started hitting him and fell in the kitchen.

Deputy responded to Hereford Rd. in reference to a 911 hang-up call. No contact was made with anyone and no one could be heard inside the residence.

Deputies responded to Hwy 297 in reference to a 911 hang-up call. Deputies discovered that a male subject had fallen and injured himself. EMS was notified and the victim was taken to EMC.

Deputies responded to Pelican Rd. in reference to an irate male. Complainant advised the suspect got upset about not being allowed to borrow her car and has been making threats towards her and wants him removed from her house.

Deputy took a report regarding a four-wheeler being stolen on McGarrh Mill Pond Rd.

Deputy responded to Hwy 56 North in reference to a welfare check on an elderly male sitting on the side of the road. Contact was made and the male advised he walked off from Moore’s Personal Care Home in an attempt to make it to Waynesboro. Subject was given a ride back to the care home and turned over to staff.

Deputy met with complainant on Oak Grove Church Rd. in reference to a report concerning a civil matter. C/p stated she and suspect entered into an agreement for renovations of a residence that began in July and there are services that have not been provided needed for the completion of the project.

Deputy made a traffic stop on S. Main St. and arrested the driver for DUI.

October 25

Offender was the passenger of a vehicle in a traffic stop on Hwy 1 South and was run through GCIC to find him to have an outstanding warrant through Appling Co. and they confirmed they wanted a hold placed on him. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail.

Deputies were dispatched to Oak Grove Baptist Church in reference to a possible burglary. Deputies met with the homeowners who advised the residence is being remodeled and found an unknown offender had entered the residence.

Deputies were dispatched to Friendship Church Rd. in reference to a 911 hang-up call. Deputy met with residents who advised everything was fine and the calls were probably done by their children playing with the cell phone.

Deputies were on Stagecoach Rd. when a wanted offender was observed walking down the road. When offender realized it was deputies, he jumped a fence and began to flee across a field. Offender is wanted in several counties in Georgia and was apprehended the following day.

Investigators met with a bank representative in regards to a possible fraud. Inv. also met with victim who stated his accounting department located a check that they could not verify through an invoice.

October 26

Deputies were dispatched to Christopher Dr. in reference to an unwanted person. Complainant advised offender left on foot and provided a clothing description. Deputies knew offender to have outstanding felony warrants. Offender was observed walking on Hwy 1 South and attempted to make contact with him and he fled on foot. After a brief pursuit, offender was apprehended and taken into custody. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail for Battery, Burglary, Aggravated Assault and State Court Probation.

Deputy received a text from the Sheriff about a domestic on Youngblood St. Upon arrival, deputy spoke with complainant who advised it occurred in Burke Co. and gave the offenders name. Deputy made contact with Burke Co. and advised them of the situation and advised they would make contact with c/p.

Deputy conducted a traffic stop on Hwy 56 North.

October 27

Deputy responded to Hawhammock Church Rd. in reference to a domestic disturbance called in by complainant. Deputy made contact with both parties, and it was determined that the female subject was highly intoxicated and was the primary aggressor. Female subject stated to deputy that she started the altercation then changed her story to give conflicting answers when confronted about visible injuries on the male’s face. The male subject had signs of physical abuse to his left eye that consisted of swelling and scratches while the female showed no signs of injury. Offender was taken into custody and transported to EmCo Det. Ctr.

Deputy responded to Hwy 86 East in reference to a burglary alarm. All doors and windows were secured with no signs of forced entry.

Deputy talked with complainant on the phone who stated his tag blew off his vehicle on the interstate.

October 29

Deputy responded to Old Metter Rd. in reference to an animal bite. TCPD was already on scene and familiar with the dogs in question. A 16-year-old male was walking on the road by offender’s residence and two dogs started chasing him and bit him. Deputy then assisted is making contact with the dog owner and made contact with his 18-year-old son that called offender. TCPD issued citations and AC1 was called to remove the dogs from the property. Offender still had seven more dogs in a pin and one inside the residence. Victim was evaluated by EMS and taken to the hospital by his parents.
