October 24

Inv. Was located at ECSO for the purpose of meeting with complainant who wanted to report a fraudulent check or stolen check which he had been asked to cash. C/p presented a check that had been written on an account of First Light Federal Credit Union in TX, in the amount of $4,850. C/p explained that he had not requested a loan, nor did he know why he would receive a check of any amount, and he was not due any type of settlement or insurance claim. A check on the internet indicated that FLFCU had posted that their company had been targeted to make fictious accounts. Per their post, any checks, notes or documents from that company was fraudulent, unless you are a member of the credit union.

October 26

Driver stated she was traveling south on Hwy 1 when a deer ran out in front of her vehicle causing extensive damage to the front end.

Complainant stated he was traveling south on Hwy 1 when a deer ran out in front of him and he swerved to miss it and ran off the road causing damage to his vehicle.

Driver stated she was traveling on Quick Rd. and a horse ran out in front of her vehicle causing her to strike it, causing moderate damage to her vehicle. Witness stated the horse belongs to him and the gate was opened and he saw the horse running toward the road out in front of the path of the driver.

Deputy met with complainant in reference to him striking a deer on Hwy 297.

Complainant contacted ECSO in reference to criminal trespass and theft by taking.

Deputy was on patrol in the area of Hwy 80 East when he observed a vehicle with the passenger headlight out, at which time deputy initiated a traffic stop. Deputy approached the vehicle and spoke with the driver, then asked for his license. Offender searched for his license but was unable to locate it, but gave deputy his license number. Deputy then observed that offender did not have on his seatbelt and returned to his patrol unit and ran the license number and plate. The plate came back valid but the driver’s license cam back suspended. Deputy had offender step out of his vehicle and asked if he knew his license were suspended, at which time offender stated he did not know and that he drove big trucks and no one had informed him.

Offender stated while she was trying to back out of the parking lot, she did not see the truck parked behind her and she ended up backing into it, causing moderate damage to c/p’s vehicle.

Deputies were dispatched to Lambs Bridge Rd. in reference to a stolen vehicle. Upon arrival, victim stated offender took her vehicle and promised to bring it back the same day. The following day, victim tried to contact offender but was unsuccessful, but was last seen in Wadley.

October 27

Complainant stated he was traveling on Griffin Ferry Rd. when a deer struck his vehicle causing moderate damage.

Deputy made contact with complainant via cell phone in reference to a missing package delivered by FedEx on Oak Park Hwy. C/p stated the package contained appx. $200 worth of medical supplies was not received, and further stated FedEx claimed the package had been delivered on 10/7.

October 28

Deputies responded to Mt. Olivet Church Rd. in reference to a stray dog. Upon arrival, deputies observed a collar on the dog with the owner’s info and phone number, and made contact with the owner, and was later returned to the owner.

Deputies were dispatched to Summertown Church St. in reference to children banging on complainant’s house.

Deputies responded to Hebron Rd. in reference to an unwanted person. Upon arrival, c/p advised that her ex-boyfriend/offender was being disrespectful to her verbally abusive. Deputies searched the area and spoke with neighbors and they advised that both parties argue on a daily basis and offender has lived at the residence for about 6-8 months. Neighbor’s advised offender had left on foot and was trying to call family to pick him up.

Deputies responded to Fairground Rd. in reference to complainant hearing people outside her window. Upon arrival, deputies searched the area and found no one in the area, then made contact with c/p. Deputies observed c/p’s neighbors on their porch and c/p then stated she heard people talking in Spanish by her window and went outside, but no one was there.

October 29

Deputy met with victim at EMC ER in reference to a dog bite incident concerning offender that occurred on Hattaway St. Victim stated he was bitten by offender’s dog while on the back steps of offender’s residence after offender told him that the dog was secured. Victim sustained three puncture wounds to his right leg.

Deputy and Cpl. Responded to a call on Durden Rd. n reference to a possible domestic dispute. When they arrived, offender answered the door and a female was sitting on the couch. Deputies then asked if everything was ok and they stated that everything was fine at the time and they did not understand why they were there. Deputies then explained that someone called 911 stating they were fighting, and they stated they were yelling a little bit that morning but everything was fine now. Appx. Nine hours later, deputies responded back to the residence in reference to a second domestic disturbance call concerning both parties. Deputies were advised via radio that the male subject had stabbed himself with a pair of scissors and both parties were still arguing. Upon deputy’s arrival, contact was made with both subjects, along with three children who were inside with both adults. All parties were relocated to the front lawn of the residence as a safety precaution. When asked, the male subject stated he cut himself around the arm and wrist without causing any life-threatening harm. Subject was turned over to EMS for medical evaluation and medically cleared while on scene. Upon further investigation, deputies determined that both parties had gotten into a verbal dispute over living arrangements. Female subject stated that the mother-in-law, who lives next door, was causing a lot of the trouble because she was not wanted on the property.

Deputy responded to EMF for a private property accident. Upon arrival, deputy made contact with complainant who was an employee of the facility, and the driver. Parties stated the driver struck a pole. Deputy spoke with the driver who stated he was attempting to back the listed vehicle and when he turned, the passenger side struck the pole. Deputy observed the pole, which was a call box, to be damaged. Deputy also observed damage to the passenger side of the vehicle with a matching paint transfer to the call box.
