October 16

Deputies were dispatched to ECI to assist EMS with a landing zone for Air Evac to transport a patient.

Deputy was dispatched to Dollar General in reference to vehicle damage. Complainant stated she found her windshield was busted. It appeared that the windshield had a “spider webbing” crack and c/p stated it was not in that condition when she got to work and had not noticed any cracks in the windshield prior to seeing it.

Deputy met with complainant at ECSO for a report of damage to his vehicle.

Deputy responded to E. Broad St. in reference to a criminal trespassing report.

Deputy conducted a traffic stop on Hwy 1 South.

Deputies were dispatched to E. Broad St. in reference to property damage. Complainant stated tenants damaged his property when they moved out.

October 17

Deputies were dispatched to GLS State Park in reference to a male subject doing drugs in the bathroom. Contact was made with the Park Ranger who stated it was the same subject from prior episodes. Park Ranger stated offender walked out of the bathroom and went behind the office. Deputy observed a white male standing beside the building and he dropped his bag and ran away as he was advised to stop. Deputy gathered offender’s belongings and waited for K-9 officer. K-9 officer conducted a track and was unable to find offender. Offender is known and will have a warrant taken out on him and he also has an active warrant through Hinesville.

Deputy met with complainant at ECSO where she stated she ran over debris on Halls Bridge Rd., causing moderate damage to her vehicle.

October 18

Deputy met with complainant at ECSO where she stated offender went on Facebook Live and said she was going to beat c/p. C/p stated all this stems from her calling for a welfare check on her grandchild due to her 3-year-old grandson being with people at Berni’s and slipped out and no one knew about it until someone recognized him and ran after him. C/p stated after that, she had a welfare check done on the grandchild and offender got mad and went on Facebook Live and made threats towards her.

October 19

Complainant stated a vehicle was parked at Youngblood Oil for several days and did not know who it belongs to. Deputy ran the tag to find the owner to be out of Lyons but the phone number listed was disconnected. Deputy advised c/p that if he wanted the vehicle towed, he would have to call a wrecker.

Deputy took a report regarding complainant having his personal information stolen and used. C/p stated he received a bill from T-Mobile for $6,285.62 and has never had a phone from T-Mobile.

Deputy received a report for identity theft. Complainant advised he discovered a few discrepancies on his credit and later discovered someone used his info to purchase a vehicle. C/p discovered the finance company is now drafting $5 a month from his bank account for non-payment.

Deputy responded to Bird Flanders Rd. in reference to a residential burglary. Complainant stated he discovered his back door had been kicked in. Deputy made entry and cleared the residence. Deputy asked c/p if he had any idea of a potential suspect and he stated three due to him having to fire them for different reasons over the past few weeks and they were mad due to being fired. C/p stated only one employee threatened to go to his house and break in. C/p stated he was confronted by suspect via text about shorting him on his paycheck. C/p stated the suspect left his tool belt in the work trailer and when he was fired the tool belt was returned to him.

October 20

Deputy was approached by complainant where she stated she has been getting harassed by offender about a suspect. C/p stated she asked offender to leave her alone and blocked her but offender texts her from different numbers.

Deputy met with complainant at ECSO in reference to a ladder falling off a work truck and hitting his vehicle, causing moderate damages to his vehicle.

Deputy was dispatched to King Dr. in reference to nuisance animals. Complainant stated two dogs went in her yard and began attacking her chickens and guineas that were in a pen.

Deputies, along with Emanuel Fire, were dispatched to Hwy 1 North in reference to a tractor trailer on fire. The driver of the trailer advised the brakes locked up and started smoking.

October 21

Deputy met with complainant at ECJ for a report. C/p stated he provided funds and parts to offender to build a motor and transmission and he has $5,500 invested in the motor and $1,000 in the transmission. C/p stated the two agreed if the parts sold they would split the profit and offender sold them for $7,000 and refuses to provide c/p with his share of the sale.

October 22

Deputies responded to McLeod Bridge Rd. in reference to dogs killing chickens. AC1 was notified.

Complainant called 911 several times stating he needed to get out of this town and refused to speak to a deputy or go to the hospital. Deputy located the individual in an abandoned house where he stated he is down on his luck and needed to get away from here.

Deputies were dispatched to EMC ER for a patient with a gunshot wound. Victim advised to have been hunting on leased property on Keas Mill Pond Rd. and was getting his rifle out of a side by side and it discharged. Victim was flown to Doctor’s Hospital in Augusta for treatment.

Deputy took a report over the phone in reference to damage to a vehicle. Complainant stated she had a medical emergency and blacked out, crossing the median on Hwy 1 North and struck a cement drain. C/p stated she did not remember driving home and did not know where the accident occurred until family rode and found the marks in the grass several days later.
