April 17

Deputy met with complainant at ECSO where c/p stated she purchased a vehicle from offender on 3/7/23. C/p provided a Bill of Sale indicating she paid $2,100 and $2,500 on the vehicle and offender delivered the vehicle to her residence on 3/7. C/p stated the vehicle is still registered in someone else’s name and she wants her money back. C/p stated offender will not return her money and pick the vehicle back up. C/p further believes the vehicle she was sold is a 2008 model and not a 2012 according to the paperwork provided by offender. The tag is registered to a 2008 vehicle but upon running the VIN that c/p received, it indicates it to be a 2012. Registration is suspended as well as no valid insurance. C/p was referred to Magistrate Court.

Deputy witnesses a disabled vehicle on the should of the road on Hwy 1 North.

Deputy responded to Prosperity Dr. in reference to a locked vehicle. Vehicle was unlocked with no damage.

Deputy responded to Mincey Rd. in reference to a 911 hang-up call. Deputy found two juvenile daughter who texted 911 on a dare. The situation was explained to the juveniles and they were turned over to the parents.

Deputies were notified of a child custody dispute on Old Wadley Rd.

April 18

Deputy spoke with complainant via phone in reference to a complaint concerning a neighbor who is said to reside next door to c/p. C/p stated his neighbor, who he does not know by name, threatened him over a dispute that ensued over the neighbor’s dog defecating on c/p’s lawn. C/p further stated that alteration began after he retrieved a bb gun to deter the dog from his yard during which time c/p stated he was threatened by the neighbor.

Deputy observed a male driving a bike along the white line on Hwy 56 South and initiated a traffics top for driving along the roadway. Upon identifying the male subject, deputy was aware that he had an active warrant for his arrest which was confirmed by 911. Offender was taken into custody and transported to EmCo Jail.

April 19

Deputy conducted a traffics top on Railroad Ave. for failure to maintain lane.

Deputy responded to Pruitt Health in reference to complainant who is a driver for P&P Mobile Transportation LLC. C/p stated she arrived at the facility to pick up a victim and transport him to a Dialysis Center in Vidalia and victim started complaining about not being able to breathe and began turning red. C/p advised one of the nurses about the victim possibly being in respiratory distress and stated the nurse did not seem to care. C/p stated after going back and forth with the nurse, the nurse finally called 911 and got EMS out there to evaluate him. C/p then stated EMS took him for treatment and transport.

Deputy responded to Hwy 297 in reference to a burglary alarm at Nina Cottage. Contact was made with the resident staff who advised it was set off accidentally.

Deputy unlocked a vehicle on Summertown Church St.

Deputy responded to a private property accident at SES. Complainant stated she was in the left pick-up lane when offender attempted to come over into her lane, hitting the front of her vehicle.

Deputy was dispatched to Turkey Trl. in reference to harassment.

Deputies responded to Keas Mill Pond Rd. in reference to a residential burglar alarm. All doors and windows were locked and secured with no signs of forced entry.

Deputy responded to Hwy 80 West in reference to a damage report. Complainant with GADOT advised the highway had been damaged by either a log truck or logging equipment that is working at the location. Earlier, deputies were dispatched to the location in reference to a log truck stuck in the roadway. Deputy advised that a skid steer was fixing the driveway.

Deputies responded to Hwy 80 East in reference to a male fighting and discharging a firearm. Offender was on scene and deputy spoke with him and he advised he was there retrieving his property and his wife’s new boyfriend jumped on him. Deputy detained offender for further investigation and additional units. Deputy then spoke with the wife/complainant who advised she had been separated form offender for about two weeks due to him being physically abusive and showed pictures of the abuse. C/p advised she never called to report the abuse because offender agreed to leave her alone. C/p stated offender went to retrieve his belongings and both parties started arguing and unknown male friend of c/p went to the house. Unknown male and offender started fighting and offender pulled a firearm and shot once at the unknown male. Unknown male took off running and left the scene prior to deputies’ arrival. Upon asking offender about the firearm, he advised it belongs to c/p and he was being beat up by the unknown male/boyfriend and he was defending himself. Offender had a busted lip and advised deputy of the location of the firearm. Deputy then found the firearm next to a small clear baggie with a green leafy substance in it in the back of a u-haul that offender drove to move his property. Witness advised he was there helping offender move and saw the two males fighting and heard a gunshot. Witness then took possession of the u-haul and offenders belongings per offender’s request. Offender was placed under arrest for aggravated assault and he stated the leafy substance was not his. Marijuana was a small amount and was destroyed and offender was then transported to EmCo Jail. Firearm was taken in for evidence. After searching the area for the spent shell casing, deputies located two unspent rounds on the ground. Upon further investigation, deputy discovered offender is a convicted felon. C/p was advised of the process to seek in getting a PTO and eviction process.

April 20

Deputy was sent on detail to Wonder Dr. in reference to a court order for the family of a deceased relative to pick up a list of items.

Deputy was dispatched to Hwy 297 in reference to complainant stating her father was acting weird.

Deputies were dispatched to Overstreet Rd. in reference to a car being vandalized.

Deputy met with complainant about his tag being lost.

Deputy was working traffic detail on Griffin Ferry Rd. when he observed a vehicle fail to stop at the 4-way stop.

Deputy received a report from complainant advising a truck was driving too fast and tearing up the road by his house. C/p stated he did not know who it was and then advised that his neighbor keeps shooting his guns at all hours of the night. C/p stated he has reached out to everyone and no one does anything and wants ore patrol in the area.

Deputy responded to Huckleberry Rd. in reference to a vehicle that slid into the ditch. Dispatch advised c/p was at the location and upon arrival, deputy did not find anyone or the vehicle. Deputy could tell where the vehicle was stuck but no vehicle and contact could be made.

April 21

Deputies were dispatched to Oak Park Hwy South in reference to a suspicious male laying beside the caller’s mailbox.

Deputies and SPD units arrived at a Mathis St. resident for the purpose of serving multiple outstanding warrants on offender. Offender was located inside the residence and taken into custody without incident.

Deputy met with complainant on Fisht Whitehead Rd. in reference to stolen property.

April 22

Deputy was told by 911 to call complainant who stated she wanted to make a report about threats. C/p stated offender called and left her a message about offender’s son. C/p stated she does not know offenders’ son or what she is talking about.

Deputies made a traffic stop at Old Kenfield Rd. trash site. While on the stop, it was learned that offender was sitting with a broke down truck. Upon running offenders’ name, it was discovered that he had an active arrest warrant. Offender was placed under arrest for the warrant and transported to EmCo Jail.

911 dispatched deputies to the dumpster site on Old Kenfield Rd. in reference to several people digging through the dumpsters, a violation of count ordinance. As a result of the incident, several people were arrested on drug charges.

911 dispatched deputies to I16 in reference to a person in the roadway. The call resulted in the arrest of an intoxicated person.
