ECI FFA Member Makes History as Georgia FFA State President

Emanuel County Institute celebrates a historic milestone as Clay Lawrence has been elected Georgia FFA State President, the organization’s highest student leadership position. He is the first ECI FFA member to serve as State President since Tim

Coleman in 1987–1988.

While ECI FFA has a strong legacy of producing state officers, this accomplishment sets a new standard. As State President, Lawrence will serve at the forefront of Georgia FFA, representing thousands of members across the state.

The Georgia FFA State President dedicates a year to traveling, leading workshops, motivating members, and strengthening agricultural education. Officers serve as mentors and role models, encouraging leadership growth statewide.

Georgia FFA state officers attend national events, such as the Washington Leadership Conference in Washington, D.C., focused on servant leadership and civic engagement. They apply lessons learned to benefit Georgia members and communities.

Throughout the year, state officers facilitate leadership conferences and career development events, represent Georgia FFA at state and national conventions, collaborate with agricultural educators and industry leaders, advocate for agricultural education and FFA programs, and participate in team-building and professional development opportunities.

For ECI, this achievement reflects the strength of its agricultural education program and the dedication of its students and advisors. It also serves as an inspiration to younger

members who now see that reaching the highest levels of leadership is possible.

As Georgia FFA State President, Clay Lawrence will focus on empowering others and promoting agricultural leadership. Guided by his FFA advisor, Ms.Tori Pellerin, he steps into a role that honors ECI's legacy and inspires future leaders.
