Members of the Exchange Club of Swainsboro gathered on December 2nd to honor a woman whose compassion, leadership, and unwavering commitment to service have touched countless lives throughout Emanuel County. Ms. Windy Durden, known widely for her ministry work and her heart for those seeking hope and healing, was presented with the prestigious 2025-2026 Book of Golden Deeds Award

Ms. Durden is not simply a community leader; she is a steady, guiding light for those searching for hope, healing, and a fresh start. Her heart for service is woven into everything she does, and her dedication to lifting others up has transformed lives throughout Emanuel County and beyond.

Through her ministry leadership, Ms. Durden oversees His Truth Fellowship and brings her message of faith, resilience, and recovery to incarcerated women through her prison ministry. She offers encouragement and reminding them that redemption and renewal are always within reach.

Seeing a profound need in our community, Ms. Durden helped co-found His House Recovery Home, a residential program that provides nine months of structured, faith-based support for women overcoming alcohol and drug addiction. With spiritual guidance and compassionate accountability, she has helped countless women reclaim their lives and rediscover their purpose.

Ms. Durden’s work represents the very best of what it means to serve others. Her dedication brings hope where hope is scarce, and her leadership helps build a stronger, healthier, and more connected community.
