On Wednesday, April 13, Emanuel County Sheriff’s Office requested assistance from Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office with a stabbing investigation. Bulloch County used a drone to assist authorities who were attempting to apprehend a subject that stabbed a 41-year-old female and a 22-year-old male. Emanuel County Sheriff’s Office identified the male subject as Darrick Alcott Mann, 45, of Swainsboro, after interviewing witnesses. After the incident, Mann fled into the woods and Swainsboro Police Department Detective with canine, Maya, was requested and responded to assist with the search. After a short period of time, Bulloch County drone operators were able to locate Mann and guide Emanuel County deputies to his exact location.
