The 45-year-old driver of an 18-wheel log truck was injured Monday, June 29.
At 11:30 a.m., units from Emanuel County EMS, firefighters from Twin City, sheriff’s deputies, Georgia State Patrol, and MCCD were dispatched to 344 Sam Overstreet Road for the wreck.
First-arriving units found an overturned log truck with the driver outside the tractor and the roadway totally blocked with debris and logs.
The driver was treated and transported by EMS to East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro.
Georgia State Patrol and MCCD investigated the crash. Randy’s Towing of Metter recovered the 2007 Freightliner Columbia tractor and trailer and removed the logs from the roadway and shoulder.
