So, you have been dealing with a difficult situation. Or just maybe you have observed something you know is not just right. What do you do when you don't know what to do? Don't give up, just keep praying. Well, you say, nothing is happening. The Word of God encourages us to keep praying.
There was a woman described by Jesus in Luke chapter eighteen. In this text Jesus begins by saying: “Men ought to always pray.” He describes a situation that a widow had with a debt her husband left her. A judge with a mean hard heart was the only one with the authority to relieve her of the debt.
Although he was hard hearted, she continued to go to him. Although she was a widow woman, she took the chance of going to him continually. She kept annoying him. He hated to see her coming, but she did not stop. No matter how she felt, she got dressed and went back again. I can imagine family and neighbors discouraging her because he was so mean, yet she was persistent.
Because she didn't stop going, he relieved her of her debt. This judge said if I don't relieve her of her debt, she will continue to worry me. Jesus said that if this woman got what she needed from a judge with a cold heart, how much more will God avenge his people who pray to him night and day.
There is absolutely nothing too hard for God. He may not do it your way, but he will do it. So don't give up. Keep praying to God and he will show you the way out. Keep praying to God and he will bring deliverance. Don't give up. Don't give in. Stay on the prayer chain. Stay connected to God. Remember Jesus said, “Men ought to always pray and not faint”. Never give up.
