Students in Emanuel County Schools have greater access to technology thanks to a generous donation from Compudopt, a nonprofit expanding digital access for under-resourced youth. The laptops are now used on the district’s Technology Bus, a mobile center that brings learning opportunities to students and families.
This laptop donation was funded by the Nordson Foundation, which connected ECS with Compudopt and continues to support expanded local educational resources. ECS appreciates Nordson, a valued Swainsboro business, for investing in programs that benefit local students and families.
The ECS Technology Bus is a repurposed school bus that now serves as a mobile classroom and computer lab. Equipped with laptops and internet, it provides hands-on activities, digital literacy, and academic support in schools and neighborhoods. This resource especially impacts rural areas by bridging the digital divide and giving students and parents access to technology.
Thanks to Compudopt and the Nordson Foundation, Emanuel County students now have more opportunities to learn and grow with technology.
