The Wiregrass Chapter Georgia Society Sons of the American Revolution held its monthly meeting, Thursday night, March 14, 2024, at the Stockyard at 6:30. With President Steve Burke presiding, there were 13 in attendance. President Burke called on Vice President of the East Fall Line Region for a special presentation. Compatriot Dess Smith presented Sgt-at-Arms Watson Mosley with the 245th Brier Creek Battlefield Anniversary Celebration Chapter Flag Streamer. President Burke then introduced Compatriot John Derden to present his program on "The Treaty of Paris, 1781". After Derden’s fantastic presentation, President Burke then discussed the upcoming events including Sylvania's Livestock Parade on March 30, The Frederica Naval Battle event at St Simons Island, GA on April 20, and the Annual Pine Tree Festival parade on May 4.
