Deacon Robert Lee Brown, age 67, passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2022. A Homecoming celebration was held Saturday, May 14, at 12 p.m. in the Swainsboro City Auditorium with Pastor Lawrence Smith presiding and Pastor James V. Middleton officiating. Interment followed in the Swainsboro City Cemetery. Repast was held at Deborah’s Place.
Robert Lee Brown was born October 28, 1954, in Swainsboro, to the late Cisero Brown and Mattie Clyde Brown. He attended Swainsboro High School and was a stand-out football player, graduating with the class of 1974. Robert was a hard-working man who was always employed, but primarily served as a supervisor for Advance Metal for more than 15 years. He served as Deacon for over 30 years at Faith Miracle Revival until his health took a turn. Deacon Brown is preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Linda Dawson.
Deacon Brown is survived by his wife, Annette Brown of 46 years; three sons, Xavier (Latisha) Brown of Port Wentworth, Jeremy Brown of Los Angeles, CA, and Taurean Brown; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers; two sisters; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
