David Emanuel Academy Junior Beta Club donated $1,000 to Emanuel County Weekend Blessings. The donation is to help provide weekend supplies of kid-friendly, nutritious food to children that are at risk for food insecurity in Emanuel County. Weekend Blessings was chosen as the Junior Beta service project, and all money was collected through bake sales, popsicle sales, dress down days and hat days. Presenting the check to Weekend Blessings representative Niamh Matthews are Beta Club officers: Addalyn Terwilliger, president; Henzli Hall, secretary; and Mattie Grace Lane, treasurer.
