Middle School Lady Eagles Close Season with Thrilling Road Win
The Middle School Lady Eagles wrapped up their season in exciting fashion Friday, January 23, edging the John Hancock Lady Rebels 32–30 on the road in Sparta. Mary Bess Fields led the Lady Eagles with 13 points, while Rayleigh Faircloth added 9 points. Ava Williams contributed 8 points, and Evie Moore chipped in 2 points. With the hard-fought win, the Lady Eagles finished their middle school season with a strong 11–8 record, closing the year on a high note.
Middle School Eagles Fall in Close Contest at John Hancock
The Middle School Eagles came up just short Friday, January 23, falling to the John Hancock Rebels 27–24 in Sparta. Charlie McRae led the Eagles with 9 points and filled up the stat sheet with 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals. Callen Sapp scored 4 points, while Bentley Brinson added 4 points and pulled down 6 rebounds. Dalton Flowers finished with 3 points and 6 rebounds, and Blaine Fordham contributed 2 points along with a team-high 9 rebounds. Tyran Kirby also added 2 points for the Eagles.
Lady Eagles Earn Big Region Road Win in Sparta
The David Emanuel Lady Eagles picked up a huge region road victory Friday, January 23, defeating the John Hancock Lady Rebels 43–37 in Sparta. Emily McRae led the Lady Eagles with 15 points and 10 rebounds for a double-double performance. Aubrey Williams added 10 points, 9 rebounds, and 6 steals, while Kaley Flowers was dominant on the boards with 17 rebounds to go along with 8 points and 3 assists. Addalyn Terwilliger contributed 6 points and 3 assists, and Aubrey Scott finished with 4 points. With the win, the Lady Eagles improve to 4–0 in region play.
The Eagles were back in action Tuesday, January 27, when they hosted the Twiggs Academy Trojans in another region matchup. Stats were not available at press time.

The David Emanuel Eagles came up just short Friday, January 23, falling to the John Hancock Rebels 63–59 in a hard-fought region matchup in Sparta. Ethan Fields led all scorers with a big night, finishing with 32 points and 10 rebounds for a double-double performance. Karson Kettles added 17 points and was active defensively with 5 steals. Layton Terwilliger contributed 8 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists, while Jack Evan Fields added 2 points and 3 assists. With the loss, the Eagles move to 2–2 in region play.
