David Emanuel Academy varsity Eagles hosted Macon’s Covenant Academy for senior night on Thursday, October 6, 2022, and defeated the red and blue Rams 38-0. Jesse Moore made the first touchdown for the Eagle’s with a 54-yard run for a 6-0 score. A completed two-point play from Riley Griner to Randon Williams brought the score up to 8-0. Clayton Hood made the next touchdown with a 14-yard run and was backed by a two-point play from Griner to Moore for a 16-0 score.
A 38-yard touchdown pass from Williams to Moore increased the Eagles’ scoreboard numbers to reflect a 22-0 lead over their visiting rivals. Griner followed with a pass to Moore which earned the Eagles another two points bringing them up 24-0. An 8-yard run was then made by Racyn Faircloth, earning the Eagles a score of 30-0. Heath Johnson made the next touchdown with a 7-yard run increasing DEA’s score to 36-0. Ben Flanders made a final run touchdown, winning the game for the Eagles with a score of 38-0.
